Welcome to the Family Paige! I thought this would be the perfect time to introduce the two newest member of our team. In August, we hired Paige McDaniel as our new Director of Administration.
It was definitely strange to add a new employee during a pandemic when we couldn’t hold in-person interviews or have new team members meet with the rest of the team face to face. However, we came up with a game plan for onboarding virtually, took our time, and found a person who I think is a great fit. Paige is compassionate and hardworking, and I know she shares our firm’s values.
Paige has been in law firm management for over 25 years, and she’s responsible for overseeing our operations, reporting, billing, and HR departments. Outside of the office, she burns off her energy as a triathlon/Ironman competitor and basketball coach.
As of the time I’m writing this, my team is still working remotely, but Paige has been joining our twice-daily Zoom meetings and she’s fitting right in. We’re a small team overall — apart from myself and Paige, we have just five other employees — but we’re a tight-knit group.
I want to thank the rest of the team as well because they’ve been doing great work to help our clients through these difficult times.
Elisabeth Morris and Caitlin Phair are the other two attorneys on our team. Elisabeth has represented clients in real estate, products liability, construction, business, employment, and securities cases for over two decades. Before that, she worked in Washington, D.C., as a lobbyist and governmental affairs manager. She loves soccer and lacrosse and even runs a nonprofit that collects and donates soccer gear to kids in Central America. Caitlin was an award-winning law student and went on to be a powerhouse in the courtroom, representing clients in family law, consumer and commercial law, immigration law, and foreclosure defense cases. She’s a passionate human rights advocate, and when she appears in court, it’s easy to see how much she cares about our clients.
Chief Strategy Officer Lyn Garrison, Billing Manager J’Aime Felix, and legal team member Yolanda Lepe round out our team. Lyn oversees our business strategy, marketing, and client engagement. Prior to joining the firm, Lyn spent over 20 years managing large scale marketing and recruiting programs for Bay Area corporations. J’Aime has worked in billing for more than six years and brings the mind of an economist to her work. Last but certainly not least is Yolanda, the first person I ever hired. She’s been with me for almost 10 years, and she has worn many hats along the way.
Every day when I sit down for a team Zoom call, I’m incredibly proud of the family we’ve built here. We’re all different people, but we share the same goals: improving the lives of our clients and helping them keep their homes. In these challenging times, our work is more important than ever, and I couldn’t ask for a better team to do it with.
