Associate Attorney

Job Description

Overview:

Estavillo Law Group is excited to find our next Associate Attorney! 

Estavillo Law Group is a rapidly growing Real Estate Litigation law firm with offices in Oakland, California and Newport Beach, California. We are looking for an attorney to join the team in our Oakland office on a hybrid schedule.

As our next Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced legal team covering all areas of Real Estate and Foreclosure Litigation. Our cases range from fighting to save our client’s home from the bank foreclosing on it, to negotiating neighbor disputes, to fighting in court to protect our client’s real property, and everything in between.

At Estavillo Law Group, we are dedicated to helping our clients through their most difficult experiences with skill, empathy, and determination. Our mission is to ensure our clients leave us in a better position than when they arrived. We are seeking a new team member that brings passion and enthusiasm to this mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel and communicate with clients
  • Attend remote and In-person court appearances
  • Conduct mediations, depositions, and arbitrations
  • Perform legal research and writing
  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, judgments, etc
  • Maintain billable hours requirements

We are offering this as a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in our brand-new office located in downtown Oakland, just 2 blocks from the 12th street BART station. Our building hosts a number of amenities, including an on-site gym. Our suite also offers a friendly and supportive group of coworkers invested in the team’s success!

What Estavillo Law Group has to offer you:

  • Competitive salary, DOE range $160,000-$180,000

Controller

Job Description

Estavillo Law Group is a rapidly growing Real Estate Litigation law firm with offices in Oakland, California and Newport Beach, California. We are looking for a Controller to join the team in our Oakland office.

Our firm is dedicated to helping our clients through their most difficult moments and ensuring they leave our firm in a better position than when they arrived. With that mission in mind, we are looking for a Controller to help advance our firm to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute financial systems such as trust account management, billing, accounts receivable & payable, payroll, audits, and taxes
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Assist senior management in developing business plans and budgets
  • Identify and propose solutions to perceived risks
  • Provide first-level data and analysis as needed for operational planning
  • Maintain annual business licensing and required filings
  • Supervise the Finance Manager, Billing Specialist, and Bookkeeper
  • Prepare future forward analysis of expenses associated with growth, including opening multiple offices in the near future

Paralegal

The Estavillo Law Group team is a rapidly growing Real Estate Litigation law firm with offices in Oakland, California and Newport Beach, California. We are looking for a paralegal to join the team in our Oakland office on a hybrid schedule.

As our next Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced legal team in exciting litigation cases. Our cases range from fighting to save our client’s home from the bank foreclosing on it, to negotiating neighbor disputes, to executing multimillion dollar commercial contracts, and everything in between.

Legal Secretary

Job Description

Overview:

Have you been a legal secretary 3+ years and are ready for a change in 2023?Do you live in the Bay Area and wish you could find a job with a shorter commute, so you can spend your non‐work hours enjoying your life? Do you want to work for one of the fastest growing firms in Oakland?  Are you ready for a litigation law firm that wants to challenge you to grow, learn new skills and be productive so the day flies by?

Responsibilities

  • Draft, transcribe, proofread, format, and finalize legal documents, letters, summons, court papers, etc.
  • File and serve pleadings, discovery and other legal documents in a variety of state and federal courts according to state and federal local rules.
  • Assist attorneys by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; schedule client meetings, court reporters, expert witnesses, etc.
  • Maintain attorneys’ calendars by planning and scheduling depositions, client interviews, teleconferences; schedule and docket court appearances, discovery, case management, and trial dates, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65k-$75k per year

This is a mid-level, full-time position. Candidates must have:

  • Three-five years of current legal, secretarial experience
  • Some litigation experience
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with MS Word and Outlook
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, technology, and administrative skills are required
  • A four-year degree is preferred

Understanding or prior experience with real property law a plus but not required.
