We are looking for a Senior Associate, Experienced Paralegal and a Legal Secretary to join our amazing team.
Senior Associate Attorney

We are looking for an up-and-coming rock star to continue to grow our real estate and foreclosure practice. When our prospective clients call us for help, they’re often going through a difficult period in their lives and need our help.You must have at least 7 years of real estate law experience and 5 trials under your belt. To be a key player on our team, you must be dedicated to excellence and hard work.
Other requirements include the following:
• Competent provision of legal services including: legal research, drafting motions, pleading, orders, judgments and status updates
• Oversight and analysis of discovery
• Develop strong effective legal strategies and effectively communicate best legal interest to clients
• Oversight, counsel, guide, train and mentor junior associates and contract attorneys
• Conveys confidence in person and on the phone
• Shows empathy to clients and puts them at ease during their difficult time
• Treats a call at 4:30 on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning
• Demonstrates exceptional communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Inbound sales experience is a plus
• Go-getter with a strong work ethic

You must have real property law experience (minimum 2 years). To be a key player on a team, you must be punctual, computer literate, and have a great attitude. Candidates must have first-rate interpersonal skills and be comfortable on the phone with clients and effective at developing rapport with prospective clients

Responsibilitie include:

  • Organizing files
  • Preparing case-files for hearings and trials
  • Scheduling events on the Firm’s master calendar
  • Drafting letters and simple court documents
  • Conducting research about laws and judicial decisions
  • Helping attorneys prepare cases for hearings
  • Assisting lawyers in the courtroom
  • Communicating with clients providing updates and gathering information
  • Preparing discovery and responses to discovery demands

Candidates should have completed a course of study offered by a college or university especially for Paralegals, and possess a certification as a trained Paralegal.

Legal Secretary

Have you been a legal secretary 3+ years and are ready for a change in 2018?Do you live in the Bay Area and wish you could find a job with a shorter commute, so you can spend your non‐work hours enjoying your life? Do you want to work for one of the fastest growing firms in Oakland?  Are you ready for a litigation law firm that wants to challenge you to grow, learn new skills and be productive so the day flies by?

Responsibilities Include:

  • Draft, transcribe, proofread, format, and finalize legal documents, letters, summons, court papers, etc.
  • File and serve pleadings, discovery and other legal documents in a variety of state and federal courts according to state and federal local rules.
  • Assist attorneys by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; schedule client meetings, court reporters, expert witnesses, etc.
  • Maintain attorneys’ calendars by planning and scheduling depositions, client interviews, teleconferences; schedule and docket court appearances, discovery, case management, and trial dates, etc.

This is a mid-level, full-time position. Candidates must have:
• Three-five years of current legal, secretarial experience
• Some litigation experience
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with MS Word and Outlook
• Exceptional writing, proofreading, technology, and administrative skills are required
• A four-year degree is preferred

Understanding or prior experience with real property law a plus but not required
